Innovations in the health service: what was shown to the honored guests at the SPIHF-2025 Exhibition

As part of the 13th St. Petersburg International Health Forum, the Exhibition of the Medical Industry Achievements opened its doors at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre. Having noted its significance, the heads of the healthcare sector of the St. Petersburg Administration got acquainted with the participants’ current innovative products.

Vladimir Omelnitsky, Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg, congratulated the guests and participants on the opening of the SPIHF-2025 Exhibition. According to him, the event has long become an authoritative platform for exchanging opinions and experiences by specialists from both public and private healthcare institutions, making it possible for them to get acquainted with the most advanced methods and developments in this field.

At the Exhibition, a particular exposition was dedicated to military field surgery and rehabilitation, an extremely important area in the SVO context, as noted Tatiana Lebedeva, Director for Development and Work with Corporate Clients at OVK BIZON LLC. Aleksander Gorokhov, Deputy CEO of EXPOFORUM International, stated that the Forum traditionally gathers thousands of specialists, but this year it has set a record by registering over 5,000 people, despite the fact that a year earlier the figure was about 2,000, which shows how important the topic of health is.

The delegation of high-ranking guests, which also included Andrey Sarana, Chairman of the St. Petersburg Health Committee and Director of St. Petersburg State University’s Medical Institute, began their tour around the exhibition with visiting the stand of BTL presenting the latest device for rehabilitation of patients after amputation and prosthetics of limbs. Most analogues involve immersing the patient in water, but here, vacuum is used instead of water. Vladimir Omelnitsky noted the great potential of the development for rehabilitating injured participants in the SVO.

For obvious reasons, projects that could help fighters returning from the front aroused increased interest among government officials. So, Vladimir Omelnitsky lingered at the stands of the Moscow Prosthetic and Orthopedic Enterprise (POE) and the Kovrov Precision-Mechanics Plant, where modern technological prostheses are manufactured, figuring out their capabilities. The assortment presented by the Moscow POE also includes prosthetics for athletes – swimmers, runners, and shooters. Next, the vice-governor watched «adaptive sambo»: having lost their limbs, the former participants in the SVO, on prosthetics, briskly threw each other using wrestling techniques, without showing any inconvenience. This project for the rehabilitation of the wounded is carried out with the methodological support by Lesgaft National University of Physical Education and Sports.

But it wasn’t just the prosthetics that attracted the delegation’s attention. At the stand of the MEDSI network of private clinics, they examined a range of dietary supplements and drugs designed for strengthening the body in general and the nervous system in particular. Representatives of ARNI LLC talked about how they provide professional services for clinics that can be outsourced, such as cleaning, disinfection or patient care. NPO ROS LLC showed their fine biological-wastewater purification plant. At the stand of St. Petersburg State University, the officials took part in the presentation of the virtual museum of the radiation diagnostics history. And then Vladimir Omelnitsky listened very attentively to the story by representatives of the city TFOMS (Territorial Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund) about cooperating with healthcare institutions.

Andrey Sarana concluded the tour with visits to the stands of the qMS medical information system, highly appreciating it and expressing his hope that the system would be implemented in more urban clinics; the Resonance Group of Companies, which supplies mobile diagnostic complexes; the POLIS network of medical centres, where he was interested in projects integrating medical services with the Max messenger, as well as connecting to the personal account of pharmacy chain clients so that the patient can order the needed medicines from the doctor’s office.
